WHY TRUMP’S SUCCESS?

Although Trump did not win the election, he has had enormous success with seventy million Americans voting for him. The paradox of Trump is that this big-mouth, super-capitalist and capital speculator, who hangs out with like-minded people in the economic elite of New York, goes home to simple people in rural areas and smaller communities. The main explanations for this are that he, like them, is hostile to the state and has and has had opportunities to be constantly noticed on TV as the bad boy they like and who they want to tear down the White House from within. Trump’s rhetoric is also part of the explanation.

To understand Trump’s ”unexpected” successes when he won the 2016 election, a gateway is his rhetorical style. It is characterized by greatness, simple messages and a confident style, where he constantly emphasizes himself and constantly says I! I’m the big one, I know best and I’m the one who fixes the record. I am the way, the truth and the life. Trust me!

Trump’s aggressive style of never acknowledging that he is wrong and backing down, but instead constantly going to counterattack, not infrequently with blows under the belt or simply by his position pushing down every resistance, he appears strong and invincible. Such clarity and simple message go home to those who live in a less verbal and reflective environment down to earth. Trump’s mimicry, facial expressions signal a non-verbal communication about his self-inflated ego. His body language is extremely dominant and then he speaks, he radiates confidence and energy and pinches cheap points through a free relationship with the truth. The factual errors are dubious, but that does not affect Trump or his sympathizers.

The body language is clear with gestures from a convinced salesman, who is completely convinced of his cause and promises around. He fences with his arms and marks with his index finger and thumb an O, which should symbolize that he has the grip. In debates with an opponent, he clearly marks that he sees him as inferior through a careless attitude and a pointing, pointing down. For example, he called Hillary Clinton a devil to be prosecuted, and when she spoke, he showed by walking around the stage that he completely ignored what she had to say.

In 2016, Democrats made the fatal mistake of believing in opinion polls that Hillary Clinton would surely win. Therefore, they did not care to vote. They did not make that mistake this year!

There is another paradox, at least from the outside. The basically anti-state Trump has unscrupulously used all the resources he, as president, had access to from taxpayers’ money. But such a double standard does not worry Trump. And he will probably not voluntarily resign. With a bleeding tooth, he will probably also continue to act in politics, perhaps even running as a presidential candidate in the next election.
